A few weeks ago when I was giving away all my possessions to avoid commitment, I was telling someone when friends annoy or bore or undermine her, just stop talking to them. That’s what I do! It’s always struck me as a fake to continue being friends, or whatever, with a person when you have more mean than nice thoughts. Sooner or later, everyone is disappointing, so you know … I’ve broken off a lot of friendships. She told me I was Don Draper, and I was like “I wish!”.
